The ‘Price Wars’ begin. We just passed Labor Day weekend and in anticipation of this ‘END’ to Summer in Lake Tahoe a slew of price reductions hit the market. August 25- September 1, 2010…The number of new escrows continues to climb- doubling the typical weekly average to 15 new pending sales, including one lakefront home with a gorgeous sandy beach a few properties down from Incline Beach, gutted and ready to remodel. Mid Year Statistics Incline Village 2010

Half of the year is already over. Is your cup half empty or half full? The stats are showing signs of improvement so our cups tends to stay half full. Want to know what was happening in Incline Village Real Estate? The good news is the market is improving with more sales and statistically more new escrows opened over previous year. Volume is still down overall, but the signs are all for an improving market. Did Obama’s tax credit help in our area? Not really as the majority of our purchases are still second homes, but I will tell you that it did affect the market and we personally experienced this with the delay in escrow closings on some of our listings.
