Use a Local Expert

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

There’s nothing that compares to a local expert. Someone who knows the markets in which he or she works. Local agents know the neighborhoods in which they do business in a way that a big box company simply can’t. They know that home prices don’t vary simply from state to state, nor from city to city. They know that home prices are specific to neighborhood and that making sweeping generalizations about the real estate market in a given area might get you in the right ballpark, but they’ll rarely hit a home run.

For example…online tools like Zillow and Trulia generalize the actually property worth.  They have never been inside, have no idea of any upgrades or lakeviews, etc.  They use sqft, beds, baths and lot size to determine a value comparing apples to apples, not apples to oranges which is more likely in our market.  We’re not knocking these services as they are innovative and offering a global service that does have value, but the fact remains that the information they make available for home values is often wrong and sometimes, its values are dramatically below actual market price, sometimes they are far above.

These services simply cannot provide the perspective that a human being and and a local expert in an area can.  When you work with a real estate professional, work with someone who understands the subtle nuances of the neighborhoods in their market area. Work with someone who knows that homes on the side of the street with water views are going to cost more than those on the side of the street with no view.

Work with someone who’s going to know which price constitutes a great deal for his or her clients.

At Intero, we pride ourselves on being this type of company and agent. We take pride in being a hometown company whose agents live, work, and play in our market area. We take pride in knowing that our real estate professionals understand the market data that really matters, and we take pride in knowing that our agents know the tiny details that will make the biggest difference to you.  See how we seperate ourselves from other agents.

Intero Reno Grand Opening

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Reno, NV (September 20, 2009)- Leslie Henderson, Michael Yoelin, and Bob Wheeler along with their support staff, Lesley Veach, Whitney Gilson, and Greg Adams, have opened INTERO Real Estate Services, located at 6990 S. MCCarran Blvd. Suite #300, Reno, NV 89509.  This opportunity is a direct reflection of our commitment to the current real estate climate.  Our specialty is servicing the needs of today’s real estate challenges.

Intero is one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the country.  Intero was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2002 and has gone from one office and $24 million in closed sales in its first year, to more than 60 offices and $5 billion in sales today.  Intero’s unique corporate culture is marked by the philosophy of empowering people – including clients, agents and employees – to help them achieve their dreams.  The company strives to integrate business with a fulfilling life, while guided by a strong set of values: integrity, compassion, loyalty, commitment and professionalism.

Leslie, Michael and Bob have over 52 years of combined real estate experience.  We are joining forces with more than 10 agents who will be moving to Intero’s new Reno office.  Our agents have excellent knowledge of the region and are equipped with the latest skills and technology to service the needs of today’s challenging economy and market.  Our culture is based on our commitment of assisting our clients in overcoming the challenges of the current short sale and foreclosure markets by making it a win/win for buyers, sellers, banks and the Reno Economy.

We are also pleased to announce Intero University!  Our office prides itself on having Leslie Henderson, a Nationally Certified Short Sale Educator (CDRS Elite) as one of our owners, and we are committed to servicing the needs of our clients who have been caught up in the turmoil of the current market.  We have a large conference room/training facility that will allow the Intero Management to train and certify all of our agents with the prestigious CDRS designation to handle distressed properties.  We will be offering Short Sale Classes on Saturdays, First-Time Home Buyer clinics on Thursdays and many other market appropriate classes.  Our success will be built around selecting the right people to lead us into new markets, and making sure that all of our real estate professionals have the experience, expertise, and relationships necessary to be successful in the Reno Short Sale and Bank Owned Market.

Our mission statement is simple, “Intero Real Estate Services is committed to delivering respectful and informed assistance to our clients.  Our passion for creative problem solving and collaborative perseverance is essential to accomplishing our client’s real estate goals.”  This is our way of doing business.  We all know someone in jeopardy of losing their home.  If they would like to know “what is next”, we would be honored to assist them in their time of need.  Confidentiality is always respected.

Thank you in advance for your partnership in our journey, we appreciate both your business and your referrals.

Intero Innovates Once Again

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Facebook has 200 million users, most of whom are over age 35. 42% of Americans read blogs on a regular basis according to a recent Pew Research study. Newspapers are struggling for survival.

Our customer has moved. We must move with them.

I am therefore proud to announce a major social media and electronic marketing initiative that will place Intero – and you — even further ahead of the competition.

 Here’s what this means:

We have launched two new blogs:

The Intero Real Estate Blog (http://interoreblog.com)

This is our blog for buyers and sellers. It features advice and market insights from Gino and a team of Intero agent bloggers. It also showcases an Internet video series – called “Ask Bob” – featuring our chairman, Bob Moles, answering consumer questions.

 Intero Mojo blog (http://interomojo.com)

This blog is for you – and for agents who’d like to become part of the Intero family. It will feature tech tips and practical advice for growing your business.

We have launched three new e-newsletter campaigns. As an Intero agent or manager, you are already subscribed and will begin receiving these newsletters this week.

 Intero Cool Apps

This newsletter introduces a new tech tool for your business every week. That’s right, every week, we’ll send you a new technology tool or service you can put to work in your business – and tips for making the most of them. You’ll always be on top of the latest and greatest technology.

 The Intero Insider

Each week Gino will share his take on the market in this e-newsletter aimed at giving consumers insight into current conditions. It will also give you talking points you can use when working with buyers and sellers.

 Monday Morning Mojo

You all know what this is. It is now an upgraded version with interactive links to other resource within our new online campaign.

I encourage you to share these e-newsletters with agents who may be interested in joining us at Intero. They are a reflection of our values and commitment to innovation. Sign-up is easy: Just go to one of our blogs and click the “Subscribe” button.

Our Facebook and Twitter presence has expanded

Everything we post to the blog and everything we send in our e-newsletters will also be shared on Facebook and Twitter, placing Intero front and center with the millions of consumers looking for a real estate company that gets it. You can access our new Facebook page and Twitter account through our blogs.

The real estate world is changing, and we are moving fast.

 Enjoy the ride!
